Euphoria Golf Estate & Hydro is, as its name implies, famous for its 18-hole championship golf course. This course was designed by Annika Sorenstam and is links-like in design. The Sundowner Deck Restaurant is the perfect place to relax after a day spent testing one's handicap on the golf course or exploring the surrounding beauty. The views from this deck are certainly worth a thousand words, usually rendering the spectators utterly speechless. To add a unique twist, the clubhouse is linked to the estate and restaurant by a cableway. There is a Golf Academy available on-site for those who are keen to brush up on their skills and develop their golfing abilities further.
Accommodation is provided in the form of Bush Villas, which are hidden amongst the dense foliage of Limpopo.
These have been constructed using sandstone from the Waterberg Mountains all around them, while the décor is a modern approach to the traditional African theme. Each of the 64 villas is equipped with an en-suite bathroom, balcony, plasma TV, satellite, shower, bath, tea- and coffee-making facilities, air-conditioning, heater and wireless internet connectivity. Marnella's Fine Dining Restaurant seats patrons around the central fireplace for a cosy atmosphere. The Sundowner Deck Restaurant is a more informal venue with a cocktail bar and a menu featuring light meals. There is also a bar and bar lounge, where guests are invited to refresh themselves with an ice cold beer or warm their souls with a good quality nightcap. True relaxation awaits the weary traveller at Euphoria's Hydro Villa. This estate has used the naturally-occurring hot mineral springs for a unique hot water hydro, nestled amongst the Waterberg Mountains. There are 4 private villas and such facilities as a sauna, Jacuzzi, fan showers, flotation pool, steam room, "rain shower", Vichy shower and plunge pool. Not only are individuals invited to relax and enjoy being pampered and rejuvenated at the Hydro, but it can accommodate couples and groups of up to 6 people too.
The Euphoria Nature Reserve is situated on the estate and promises rewarding game viewing. Stretching for 760 hectares, this reserve is home to Kudus, Impalas, Blesbuck, Bush Buck and Waterbuck (amongst others), as well as the elusive Leopard. While the land animals are impressive in their own rights, bird-lovers will be very pleased at the wide variety of avian species in the reserve. There are approximately 250 different species at Euphoria. These animals are best enjoyed when viewed from the open game-viewing vehicles on which official, guided game drives are conducted. For a more personal interaction with African wildlife, embark on a walking path, hiking trail or cycling route through the bush. The nearby Entabeni Game Reserve is home to the Big 5 - Lions, Leopards, Buffalo, Elephants and Rhinos. Day trips can be arranged as this farm is only about an hour away from Euphoria. Avid fisherman may while away the hours at 1 of the 2 dams, in which Yellow Fish and Bream are plentiful (bookings essential).
The corporate guest is efficiently catered to at Euphoria Golf Estate & Hydro. There are two large venues, which can be opened up to form one spacious room. Each has an undercover patio and spitbraai, as well as a dance floor for more festive occasions. The boardroom seats 12 and is equipped with a projector, wide screen, CD player, microphones (roving and lapel), DVD player, overhead projector, flipcharts and whiteboard. There are both full-day and half-day options available.
