The Zululand Tree Lodge is beautifully located in the heart of South Africa's KwaZulu Natal Zululand, in a forest of fever trees, a mere 5 hours' drive from Johannesburg. This Zululand lodge is a special and unique getaway, offering the discerning guests 24 luxurious, stilted chalets. This romantic escape form the hustle and bustle of everyday life is famous for Rhino-spotting, and is next to the famous Hluhluwe and Umfolozi Game Reserves.

Accommodation

24 thatched tree houses on stilts can accommodate up to 48 guests. Of these 24, half are twin rooms, and the others are double rooms. Each chalet features free tea- and coffee-making facilities, ceiling fans, mosquito nets above each bed, direct-dial telephones, en-suite bathrooms with showers, housekeeping, and mini bar fridges lockable)

Conference

Conference delegates are greeted by an African drum roll on arrival, which is followed
by a uniquely casual conference atmosphere. Large windows offer spectacular views of the breathtaking Fevertree Forrest.

Standard conference equipment is available, and up to 60 delegates can be accommodated. Once meetings and presentations are complete, delegates are invited for some pampering, with a choice of massage treatments, within the privacy of individual suites.

Location

The Zululand Tree Lodge is situated in Northern KwaZulu Natal Province and is located:
  • 260 km from Durban
  • 105 km from Richards Bay
  • 100 km from Sodwana Bay
  • 100 km from St Lucia
  • 50 km from Mkuzi
  • 10 km from Hluhluwe Game Reserve
  • 4 km to Hluhluwe Town
Directions:

From Johannesburg:

Approximate distance - 560km. Proceed on the Witbank freeway (N4) towards Middleburg. At Middleburg take the N11 to Ermelo. At Ermelo take the R29 to Piet Retief, Pongola, (the R29 becomes the N2) to Mkuze and Hluhluwe. Take the Hluhluwe/Sodwana Bay off-ramp. It is also signposted as Zululand Tree Lodge. At the top of the off-ramp turn right onto the P453 over the N2 flyover. Travel a further 2.5km and you will see the Ubizane Wildlife Reserve's entrance gate on your left.

From Durban:

Approximate distance - 276km. Proceed on the N2 North, past Tongaat, Stanger, Empangeni, Mtubatuba and Bushlands to Hluhluwe. Take the Hluhluwe/Sodwana Bay off-ramp. It is also signposted Zululand Tree Lodge. At the top of the offramp turn left onto the P453. Travel a further 2.5km and you will see the Ubizane Wildlife Reseve's entrance on your left. Hluhluwe - 7km.
