The Zululand Safari Lodge is set in the rolling hills and impressive valley ravines of the Uzibane Wildlife Reserve in South Africa's KwaZulu Natal Province.

Twelve African-themed rondavels are available to valued guests of this private game reserve. These are ideal for families and small groups. The safari experience in this family-friendly game lodge destination includes guided walks in an ever-evolving ecosystem, which homes the riverine fever tree forest, open grassland and Illala palm veld.

Accommodation

Nineteen African-style rondavels can accommodate approximately 48 guests, and
is made up of 10 Family units, 9 Safari Twin Chalets, family units (which can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 12 years)

Each rondavel provides guests with the comforts of ceiling fans, en-suite bathrooms, and daily housekeeping services for their ultimate comfort and convenience.

Dining

Enjoy genuine South African meals in the Boma-style restaurant right in the midst of
the African bush. Bush dinners can be arranged for groups and conferences for the authentic African experience, where guests are
able to experience true Africa, with a bush dinner set within the breath-taking Ubizane Reserve.

Location

The Zululand Safari Lodge is located within the heart of Zululand in Northern KwaZulu Natal, South Africa:
  • 260 km from Durban
  • 105 km from Richards Bay
  • 100 km from Sodwana Bay
  • 100 km from St Lucia
  • 50 km from Mkuzi
  • 10 km from Hluhluwe Game Reserve
  • 4 km to Hluhluwe Town
Directions

From Johannesburg:

Approximate distance - 560km. Proceed on the Witbank freeway (N4) towards Middleburg. At Middleburg take the N11 to Ermelo. At Ermelo take the R29 to Piet Retief, Pongola, (the R29 becomes the N2) to Mkuze and Hluhluwe. Take the Hluhluwe / Sodwana Bay off-ramp. It is also signposted as Zululand Tree Lodge. At the top of the off-ramp turn right onto the P453 over the N2 flyover.
Travel a further 2.5km and you will see the Ubizane Wildlife Reserve's entrance gate on your left.

From Durban:

Approximate distance - 276km. Proceed on the N2 North, past Tongaat, Stanger, Empangeni, Mtubatuba and Bushlands to Hluhluwe. Take the Hluhluwe / Sodwana
Bay off-ramp. It is also signposted Zululand Tree Lodge. At the top of the offramp turn left onto the P453. Travel a further 2.5km and you will see the Ubizane Wildlife Reseve's entrance on your left. Hluhluwe - 7km.
