The acclaimed Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and boutique-laden Cavendish Square shopping centre are only a few minutes' drive from the Bishop's Court. While the environment makes for convenient shopping and no shortage of entertainment, Bishop's Court acts as an idyllic oasis of peace and relaxation. Each of the five rooms has en-suite bathrooms, with spectacular views of Table Mountain. The landscaped gardens can be enjoyed from the Caribbean-style breakfast deck and comfortable lounge.

An infinity pool (heated for ultimate comfort) overlooks the tennis court, where families and friends are encouraged to play a match in the warm African climate. These facilities are all set against the imposing splendour of Table Mountain.

Hearty breakfasts are a speciality, and include innovative fusions of cuisine. Tea, coffee or juice is included. Scrumptious meals are available for lunch or dinner, and should be requested by prior arrangement. The Bishop's Court chauffeur service will ensure that guests are transferred to and from restaurants, or for custom-made tours of the Cape Town hotpots that have proved to be popular among tourists.

The two air-conditioned Suites each enjoy the luxury of private balconies, and stunning views of Table Mountain. Modern amenities include a separate shower, bath and toilet, DVD player and complimentary mini-bar and snacks. Underfloor heating, wireless Internet connectivity, satellite TV's, heated towel rails, and a sherry decanter add to the opulence of the occasion. Additional standard features include fresh flowers, velour robes and slippers, complimentary tea and coffee tray, hair dryer and shaving points, private room safe, 300-thread count cotton linen, bedside alarm clocks and an in-suite telephone.

The Superior Double Rooms enjoy all of the standard features of the Suites' amenities, as well as a small, private patio, while never compromising on 5-star lavishness. A defining difference between the two is that the Superior Double Rooms offer a choice between the bath and shower.

From Cape Town International Airport to The Bishop's Court:

  • Follow the N2 from the airport towards Cape Town City Centre
