The Straightway Head comprises 19 suites:

Each suite boasts an en-suite bathroom, private patio, wireless Internet connectivity, air-conditioning, heater, safe, mini bar and hair dryer. There are luxury skin products included in the bathroom for the use of guests who value their beauty regime. The Luxury Suites are equipped with a television. Secure parking is available to all guests of the Straightway Head.

Services

At the Straightway Head Country Hotel, the comfort and convenience of our guests is of paramount importance. There are several facilities and services in place to guarantee an experience of superior service and a not a little pampering. These include a saltwater pool in the gardens, breakfast (Continental and English), poolside snacks and drinks services, the Straightway Restaurant and Spooks Hill Bar, massages and beauty treatments in the comfort of the suite, laundry services, airport pick-ups and restaurant transfers, pool bar, barbecue area and golf lessons. In addition, the hotel will arrange wine tours, make reservations at restaurants and book tee-off times for our valued guests.

Dining

The Straightway Restaurant boasts an A la Carte menu bursting with fresh flavours and interesting approaches to gourmet cooking. The warm ambience adds comfort and relaxation to this elegant setting. The restaurant is placed within the gorgeous gardens of the hotel, which are best enjoyed from the patio. The fireplace promises that even crisp winter evenings will be cosy and inviting. In addition to the heartier evening meals, light lunches and High Tea are also on offer. For a refreshing cocktail or ale, or one of South Africa's finest wines, visit Spooks Hill cocktail bar.

Conferencing

The conference facilities accommodate up to 30 delegates in air-conditioned, professional surrounds. They are roomy and offer the perfect site for a variety of conferencing needs, including training seminars, presentations and lectures.

The Helderberg Mountains, expansive gardens and old-world architecture combine to ensure a romantic ambience and stunning photo opportunities. The couple may opt for a Breakfast, Lunch or Evening wedding on any day of the week. The hotel can accommodate up to 60 guests and is perfect for more intimate weddings. The Honeymoon Suite is the ideal retreat for the newlyweds after an eventful celebration spent with friends and family.

Wine and Golf

Straightway Head Country Hotel is in the heart of the Cape winelands. As such, it enjoys close proximity to many acclaimed wine farms (such as Vergelegen, Lourensford and Morgenhof) as well as those slightly further afield (in Stellenbosch, Paarl, Cape Town and Franschhoek).

The golf courses are of a world-class standard and only minutes away from the hotel. They include Erinvale, Devonvale, De Zalze, Stellenbosch, Somerset West and the Strand courses.

Directions

From Cape Town, follow the N2 towards Stellenbosch. Take the turn-off marked Somerset West. At the first traffic lights, turn left onto the R44 and then right at the next set of traffic lights into Somerset West Main Road. Cross three traffic light intersections and, at the fourth, turn left into Lourensford Road. You will arrive at a traffic circle or roundabout. Turn left into Parel Vallei Road. Proceed straight, keeping left, and the Straightway Head Country Hotel will appear on your right.
