GREATER ADDO LODGE ACCOMMODATION

The Shamwari Game Reserve consists of
25 000 hectres of malaria free African bush alongside the Bushmans River in the Eastern Cape and forms a natural extension of the famous Garden Route. This private game reserve, recipient of numerous international conservation awards, is situated halfway between Port Elizabeth and the historical Settler town of Grahamstown.

Shamwari Game Reserve boasts five eco-systems and provides sanctuary for a wide variety of plant, animal and bird life. Early morning or late afternoon game drives in open Land Rovers with highly trained rangers offer the opportunity of close encounters with black and white rhino, elephant, lion, giraffe, hippo, cheetah and more than 18 antelope species.

Accommodation:

Long Lee Manor
Built in 1910 by the descendants of one of the early settlers this gracious Edwardian country manor has been carefully restored and extended. Long Lee Manor accommodates guests in elegant en-suite bedrooms, all with air-conditioning and under floor heating and offers superb personal service.

Lobengula Lodge
Traditionally African, this Lodge is named after an African Chief. Set deep in the valley bushveld, this thatched five-star lodge offers guests a tranquil, luxurious and secluded getaway.
Riverdene Lodge
All rooms are air-conditioned, with television and telephone, and feature a small lounge area. Each bathroom en-suite features a 'his' and 'hers' vanity basin, separate shower and bath. The public areas consist of two comfortably furnished casual lounges and a sunroom, a rim flow swimming pool with sun deck and poolside bar.

Bushmans River Lodge
This lodge with its spectacular views is located along the Bushmans River and offers a fully inclusive service, complete with private game ranger and chef. Accommodation is available for individuals, small groups or families.

Bayethe Lodge
Bayethe offers air-conditioned twin-bedded luxury tented suites, with en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower, private plunge pool and deck.

Eagles Cragg Lodge
With its avante-guard design incorporating thatch, stone and glass, Eagles Cragg Lodge offers the discerning traveller the ultimate in privacy and tranquillity. Consisting of individually built rooms accommodating two guests, each room boasts its own private deck and plunge pool with an uninterrupted view of the bush.
