Accommodation:
Tilney Manor:
Tilney Manor consists of only a few luxuriously appointed rooms. This exclusivity ensures that guests receive personal service and world-class cuisine in an atmosphere of privacy and tranquillity.

Comfortable lounges with fireplaces for winter nights, private verandas, romantic freestanding baths and carefully sheltered outdoor showers are just a few of the unique pleasures that guests can enjoy at Tilney Manor. Modern comforts are also offered which include air-conditioning, satellite television, private bars and tea and coffee making facilities.

Guest rooms and the conference facility are decorated in Cape Georgian style drawing on the natural beauty of the surrounding vegetation and stone, with subtle influences of the San culture.

Sanbona's second lodge, Khanni, named after the San word for Eland, is the ideal Klein Karoo summer getaway. Nestled in a secluded valley overlooking a natural watering hole, Khanni Lodge features wrap-around verandas with panoramic views, high lime-washed ceilings with exposed beams providing a cool, airy atmosphere. From the lodge verandah and rim-flow swimming pool guests can watch animals drinking at the watering hole, while the private verandas of the lodge's four spacious suites offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Khanni Lodge offers guests a choice of settings in which to relax - from the airy dining room and cosy lounge with its fireplace, to the outdoor dining patio with barbeque facilities.

Activities / Facilities

Tours:
Sanbona Wildlife Reserve offers easy access to the surrounding towns with scenic drives through the valleys. Guests can choose to visit wineries and game reserves, enjoy art and cultural tours, museums, hiking trails and mountain climbing. For the outdoor enthusiast there are 4x4 routes and canoeing expeditions, horse riding, ostrich riding, fishing and cave exploration. Also on offer is a relaxing visit to one of the nearby invigorating hot-springs.

Game drives:
Let a qualified ranger guide you through the landscape of Sanbona Wildlife Reserve in the comfort of an open landrover. Early morning or sundowner drives are offered during which a wide array of plants, animals, big game and birds can be seen.

This amazing 54, 000 hectare piece of the Little Karoo which is Sanbona Wildlife Reserve has become one of the most popular weekend break destinations in South Africa and with the exciting introduction of elephant, buffalo and black rhino, Sanbona is now home to the Big 5. A historic initiative of Sanbona Wildlife Reserve was the release into the reserve of lion and cheetah making this the first time in 200 years that the predatory big cats can once again be seen in the Klein Karoo where they once roamed freely.
