With the Zuurberg Mountains in the background, River Bend Lodge is situated within the private Nyati concession area of the Addo Elephant National Park. Set in 17 000 hectares of malaria-free African bushveld, River Bend Lodge boasts a great variety of natural fauna and flora as well as being home to Africa's Big Five.

At the River Bend Lodge guests are invited to enjoy adventurous game drives into the nearby mountains with professional guides offering opportunities to watch herds of Elephants feeding as well as sightings of a variety of game including the Big Five. Bird watchers will be interested to know that 250 bird species can be found around River Bend Lodge.

Children of all ages are catered for at the River Bend Lodge. The Lodge offers a specially designed menu featuring children's favourites, a children's playroom and various children's activities are on offer including guided nature walks, biscuit baking with the chef or doing mini beauty treatments in the Spa under the watchful eye of the Beauty Therapist. Trained child minders are available at River Bend Lodge allowing parents time to relax and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings and to make full use of the luxury facilities at the Lodge.

Accommodation:

River Bend Lodge offers a small number of private, tastefully decorated individual suites set in relaxing, tranquil surroundings. All suites have full en-suite bathrooms, are air conditioned and feature ceiling fans, electronic safes, mini bar, satellite television and hair dryer. Situated in landscaped gardens, the spacious suites boast panoramic views of the African bush with its resident wildlife. Suites are connected to the lounge and dining areas by a scenic garden path which also leads to the swimming pool, terrace and Polo Bar.
