River House Guest Lodge

KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
MPUMALANGA, SOUTH AFRICA

The beautiful River House Guest Lodge is concealed within the lush South African province of Mpumalanga, on the Southern Border of world-acclaimed Kruger National Park. This is within the heart of Africa, showcasing some of the most exciting species of plants and animals in the country.

The River House is perched on the Crocodile River's banks within an area called Malelane, which is a mere 40 minute drive from the border posts of both Swaziland and Mozambique. In addition, it is only 60 kilometres from the city of Nelspruit, where guests can visit a variety of shops, restaurants, entertainment centres and even the 2010 FIFA World Cup&153; stadium.

There is a thatched deck perched right along the river bank. This is a favourite escape for guests that want to sit in peace and quiet and watch as a variety of plant and animal life moves and blooms in front of them. Sipping on a refreshing sundowner or a steaming cup of cocoa is the perfect way to enjoy being such an active spectator of the South African bushveld.

The swimming pool and deck is elevated above the river, and animals like crocodiles and hippopotamuses can be seen drinking in and cooling off with the river water while guests also indulge in some cooling refreshment.

When guests need some solitary time indoors, there are a variety of books that can be enjoyed in the comfortable lounge. There are no televisions, radios or newspapers at the River House; an optimal situation that encourages guests to escape the outside world and enjoy the ultimate in relaxation.
