Protea Hotel North Wharf has just joined the Premier Protea Hotels portfolio. This 4-star hotel is centrally situated in the centre of Cape Town. Popular attractions, such as the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town CBD and the Cape Town International Convention Centre, are only minutes away by car. The convenient locale of the hotel, as well as its modern amenities, mean that it is the ideal venue for the corporate and leisure visitors to Cape Town.

The Protea Hotel North Wharf comprises 68 rooms and suites in luxury apartment-style. The Penthouse Suite boasts incredible views of the blue waters of the shore.

Should guests prefer to take care of their own dining requirements, all rooms have a self-catering option available. However, the Protea Hotel North Wharf does offer superior dining facilities. The Bugati Restaurant, Lounge and Coffee/Cocktail Bar is a fantastic venue to unwind after a busy day spent in the city. In addition, guests are encouraged to relax in the swimming pool or gym.

The 4-star Protea Hotel North Wharf consists of 59 one-bedroom apartments, 7 two-bedroom apartments and 2 Penthouse Suites, with three bedrooms. All luxury rooms and suites enjoy en-suite bathrooms, well-equipped kitchenette and separate lounge/dining areas.
Guests are invited to take in magnificent views of Cape Town's harbour from the Penthouse Suite, which boasts modern amenities. These include air-conditioner, Internet connectivity, separate lounge and dining room area and a balcony.

All rooms provide guests with similarly beautiful views - whether it is of the ocean, the famous mountains or the park. Cable TV and free movies come standard in each room. A luxury room is available for our physically disable guests.

Bugati Restaurant at the Protea Hotel North Wharf's relaxing atmosphere creates a comfortable, intimate venue enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. An added treat is the open nature of the restaurant, which allows diners to watch as chefs prepare their culinary delights. The Bugati Restaurant seats 55 diners at a time. A full English breakfast buffet is available from 06:30 to 10:30 every day, a healthy lunch buffet on weekdays from 12:00 to 15:00 and an A la Carte dinner from 18:00 to 22:00.

The Bugati Cocktail Bar and Terrace is open from 08:00 to 22:30 every day and provides a light snack menu from 15:00 to 18:00. This facility also caters for room service between 07:00 to 22:00.

Sports and Recreation

The well-equipped gym and sparkling, fresh, rooftop swimming pool are open to guests free of charge, 24 hours a day. Alternatively, maintain your fitness regime at Virgin Active (500m away), or play a round of golf at Metropolitan Golf Course (5km), Mowbray (12km) and Rondebosch (15km).

Directions
  • Travelling on the N1 and N2 towards Cape Town (from Cape Town International Airport)
  • Follow the signs into Cape Town
  • When you get to the intersection at the end of the freeway (at the Waterfront, CTICC on left), continue over the set of traffic lights to the next set, where the freeway becomes Buitengracht Street
  • Turn left into Hans Strijdom Avenue
  • Turn left at the 2nd set of traffic lights, into Loop Street (Investec building will be on your left)
  • Go down the slipway to enter the basement parking area
