World famous for its whale watching - guests at On the Cliff Guest House can enjoy panoramic views of this bay from their luxury accommodation as all rooms boast sea views.

Also on the doorstep is the beautiful cliff path with its wide variety of fauna and flora which extends for approximately 10km along the coast.

Guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll along this path into the town of Hermanus or round Gearings Point to the historic old Harbour. Nearby, visitors will find the vibrant craft market as well as many fine restaurants and shops. The cliff paths in Hermanus also offer excellent whale watching opportunities as the whales bask meters from the cliffs below.

In whale season breakfast is served outdoors with views of the whales lying in a cove close by.

Hermanus:

Hermanus boasts wonderful beaches, both for safe swimming or long walks. Whale watching cruises leave from the nearby New Harbour and can be arranged by the guest house. Golfers are catered for at the newly upgraded Hermanus Golf Course or the internationally known Arabella Golf Course on the Bot River Lagoon approximately 30 minutes drive away. This course is home to the Nelson Mandela Challenge.

Also available is horse riding on the beach, scuba diving, parasailing and fishing.
