Guests who appreciate art and can browse the lodge's art collection and the Shona and Italian sculptures. For garden or outdoor lovers, the Japanese garden, containing original Japan stone carvings, and the 18 ponds and waterways can be admired.

The beautifully laid out gardens consist of indigenous and exotic plants and even include species that are considered rare and unique. A unique and magical part of the gardens , along the moss-clad road lined by Macaranga trees and lush vegetation, is home to a range of exotic species that include Orchid, Camellia, Magnolia and Rhododendron.

Dining

Guests can enjoy the option of dinner dining at The Wild Poplar Restaurant where fine dining takes place. The Tuscan Terrace offers guests a choice of buffet and lunch breakfasts.

Visitors not staying at the lodge can also visit the lodge and enjoy walks in the garden and a common favourite of tea and scones on the terrace.

Three meals a day are served to guests in the dining room or Tuscan Terrace. Morning and afternoon teas are also provided.

Health and Beauty Spa

Visitors and guests looking for some relaxation, rejuvenation or some simple pampering can make use of the Makaranga Spa. The spa is situated in tranquil surroundings and offers a comprehensive list of treatments from facials to body wraps.

The spa, making use of state-of-the-art equipment, consists of 4 air-conditioned treatment rooms and a specifically designed wet room used for hydrotherapy treatments.
