Located in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve, a four and a half hour's drive from Johannesburg, the Madikwe Safari Lodge offers visitors luxurious accommodation, superb service and unique regional cuisine with the opportunity of exceptional game viewing. Three luxurious safari camps feature 16 suites in total with private plunge pools, expansive decks with magnificent views over the bush, as well as an Africa Safari shop.

Each suite at the Madikwe Safari Lodge features a sitting area, a bedroom with circular fireplace, a spacious dressing area with personal bar, and en-suite bathroom with bath and indoor and outdoor shower. French doors open onto a wooden deck featuring an inviting plunge pool.

Expansive decks with comfortable shaded outdoor seating areas provide superb vantage points from which to observe the game rich plains of the reserve. There are numerous fireplaces both indoors and out with pizza ovens for fun dining. The covered outdoor living room at this lodge offers seating options and cushions on the floor for casual relaxation. The lodge also offers a well-stocked library. The nearby boma, open to the African sky, is the setting for outdoor dinners.

Activities :

Morning and afternoon/evening game drives in open safari vehicles accompanied by highly trained game rangers with the opportunity to view Africa's Magnificent Seven, as well as the Cheetah, the African wild dog, the brown and spotted hyena and the oryx.

Excellent birdwatching with over 350 bird species can be enjoyed in this game reserve from the comfort of the lodge or on the game drives.

The Madikwe Safari Lodge is easily accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle on good roads. The Abjaterskop Gate entrance is open between 6am - 9pm daily. Chauffeured transfers as well as daily flights from / to Johannesburg are also available.
