Situated on an unspoilt stretch of coastline above one of South Africa's top golf courses is The Lodge at Prince's Grant on Kwazulu Natal's Dolphin coast. Situated an easy driving distance away are historical Battlefield sites, the Phinda Game Reserve, the Hluhluwe and Mkuze Game reserves as well as other KwaZulu Natal Wildlife attractions. Closer to The Lodge are The King Shaka Memorial, Shakaland and numerous ethnic attractions in The Kingdom of the Zulu.

Golf

The course at Prince's Grant is rewarding and challenging with large greens, undulating fairways and every hole being unique. This Peter Matkovich designed golf course has constantly been ranked as one of the top courses in South Africa and is definitely one of Kwazulu Natal's finest. The golf course at Prince's Grant is a links/parkland layout with magnificent sea views, natural bush and Zululand interior.

Dining

Varied and imaginative cuisine is offered at The Bunkers Restaurant. Refreshments can be enjoyed at The Mulligans Pub, located at the 19th hole overlooking the golf course as well as the ocean and estate.

Conferences and special functions are catered for and may be arranged with packages to suit individual requirements.

Activities

Guests have access to a kilometre or more of secluded beach, canoeing on the private lagoon and nature walks in a birdwatchers paradise. The Lodge's recreation centre offers tennis, squash and swimming. The in-house Salon at The Lodge at Prince's Grant offers a varied range of treatments from full body Hot Stone massages to facials.

Attractions in The Area

Zimbali, Umhlali and Mt Edgecombe golf courses are all within easy reach of Prince's Grant. Umhlanga Rocks and the large Gateway Shopping Experience, the Dolphin Coast and Lifestyle centre at Ballito are also worth a visit.

Game Reserves / Wildlife

A worthwhile day trip is to Hluhluwe Game Reserve in Northern Zululand - famous for Black and White Rhino. Mkuze, Umfolosi and Phinda, Jozini - SA's Kariba, St Lucia world heritage site and Maputaland marine reserve are all approximately 3 hours drive away.

Battlefield Sites

Rorke's Drift, Battle at Isanddlwana, Ulundi Battle Ground and other historical battlefields are all within easy reach of Prince's Grant.
