The beautiful Ingudlana Lodge boasts idyllic safari luxury that is sure to leave visitors with the magical memories for which South Africa is so well loved. Ingudlana is nestled within the subtropical province of KwaZulu Natal on the historic Battlefields Route.

The lodge enjoys its prime positioning on 1650 hectares of private game reserve, also home to Talana Hill, which played its own unique role in the Anglo-Boer War.

Guests may enjoy the private luxury of the stylish self-catering chalets, or join others in the main lodge for a refreshing drink or a chat next to the crackling log fire. Alternatively, there are excellent game viewing opportunities that showcase some of Africa's most enthralling fauna and flora.

The Lodge

The lodge has a warm and inviting atmosphere in which guests can enjoy the log fire, get comfortable under a rug in the lounge or sit in the pub and mingle with other guests or watch sport. There is an outdoor play area for children, which is safe and fun.

The restaurant serves A-la-Carte meals throughout the day. These are tasty and diverse, designed to suit the unique tastes of each guest. The speciality Creamy Garlic Snails are a must for diners. A mini buffet is the ideal Sunday Lunch (bookings essential).

The Ingudlana Lodge's event venue is ideal for romantic wedding receptions. The natural surrounds of the South African bushveld make for an absolutely exquisite backdrop to this, your most special day.

Venues are also ideal for conferences, seminars, product launches, brainstorming sessions and teambuilding initiatives. Conference facilities at Ingudlana seat up to 80 delegates and boast beautiful views and efficient service within an environment of relaxed professionalism.

Accommodation

Ingudlane Lodge comprises secluded chalets that have been elegantly furnished and fitted with convenient amenities to ensure the comfort of each guest. They are modern, have two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, an open-plan living area and gorgeous views of KwaZulu Natal. These views are best enjoyed from the chalets' private verandahs. Guests are welcome to have a barbecue on the verandah, as they absorb the stunning vistas and breathe in the fresh air of the bush.

Game Reserve

The game reserve that is home to Ingudlana enjoys a hilly topography and has the benefit of several watering holes. Guests may explore these on game drives or simply watch as the world passes them by from the verandah of their chalets. Some of the local residents include giraffes, Water Buck, zebras, Nyalas, Kudus, Rooi Hartebeest, duikers, Impalas, Bles Buck, Mountain Reedbuck and the Common Reedbuck.

Game drives are conducted in the early morning and late afternoon to ensure that guests get so see the widest variety of animals. Morning drives are rounded off by a hearty breakfast while evening ones are made extra special as guests watch the sun drop and the land darken.

Attractions

Ingudlana Lodge is situated along the famous Battlefields Route in KwaZulu Natal. Tours of these battlefields are fascinating, providing a deeper insight into the complex history of the area. Lodge management will arrange such tours for interested guests.

Location

Ingudlane Lodge is in Northern KwaZulu Natal along the Battlefields Route. It is on the Whinestone and Lennox farms and is only a few kilometres from Dundee.
