CENTRAL KALAHARI GAME RESERVE, BOTSWANA

Nestled on the western side of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, in Botswana's Ghanzi district is the Grassland Bushman Lodge. This property extends for 15 000 hectares and is a private wildlife reserve.

Grassland Bushman Lodge is a family-owned establishment who have employed embers of the local San community as part of their commitment to contributing to the sustainability and success of Botswana. Many of these Bushmen staff members have worked with the family for generations, as they have resided in this Ghanzi territory with the San for over 120 years.

Grassland Bushman Lodge accommodates up to 16 guests, and has a special family unit for the convenience of the family travellers. At this lodge, the ambience is hospitable and homely, an ideal destination for a relaxed, informal holiday.

The main complex of Grassland Bushman Lodge is divided into a spacious lounge and dining room in one building, a large bar area that can also be used as a dining area and/outside lounge and is adjacent to the swimming pool. From any of these venues, the waterhole that s popular among the local wildlife is visible, and best enjoyed from comfy chairs or alongside the swimming pool.
Accommodation

Comfortable and hospitable accommodation comes in the form of well-equipped chalets, each with en-suite bathrooms with a shower, basin and toilet. Electricity is generated for most of the day.

All charter companies in the area have access to the private registered airstrip. Grassland Bushman Lodge generally prefers the services of Delta Air. Alternatively, guests are able to access the lodge by car, although 4 x 4 vehicles are required to reach the actual lodge. If guests arrive in a sedan vehicle, they are able to park it in the secure parking area in Ghanzi where Grassland Bushman Lodge staff will collect them and transfer them to the lodge.

Access to the Grassland Bushman Lodge

The charter flight to the Grassland Bushman Lodge takes about 50 minutes from Maun.
