ELEPHANT VALLEY LODGE, BOTSWANA

The Elephant Valley Lodge is located in the Lesoma Valley lying in the heart of the Kasane Forest Reserve. Adjacent to the Chobe National Park, the Elephant Valley Lodge can easily be accessed by daily available flights into Livingstone, Victoria Falls or Kasane.

A number of transfer companies provide transfer services from Livingstone and Victoria Falls. The approximate transfer time is 1 hour from both airports and the transfer companies will bring guests Kazungula crossing when travelling from Livingstone or Botswana - Zimbabwe border post when travelling from Victoria Falls. At the Kazungula crossing, a ferry will transport guests to the Botswana side where a game viewer from Elephant Valley Lodge will be ready and waiting for the guests to arrive.

The Elephant Valley Lodge, lying beneath a forest of sturdy knob thorns, boasts open guest areas, a secluded and private hide, revitalising swimming pool and 20 menu styled tents.

This particular lodge is considered unique to due it being situated within a game rich reserve that boasts wonderful sightings in both open landrover drives / safaris and the Chobe River boat cruises.
Accommodation

The 20 tents available at the lodge are 'meru styled' and are situated around well manicured lawns or along the edge of the valley. The tents ensure guests will be able to hear the various night sounds adding to your wild African experience.

Each of the tents features the following:
  • Twin beds
  • En-suite shower and toilet
  • Mini safe
  • Fan
To prevent elephants from accessing and moving through the camp, the camp perimeter is fenced which ensures the elephants move around the camp boundary.

Activities

Elephant Valley guests can experience a morning river cruise along the Chobe River in one of the lodge's skimmers and / or an afternoon safari from a custom built game viewer in the Chobe National Park - all lead by the qualified guides.

Main reasons for guests to take part in the morning cruises along the Chobe River:

  • Longer outing experience
Afternoon outings are:
  • Less busy
  • Guests can enjoy sundowners along the river
  • Game is typically more active in the afternoon
