Phinda Private Game Reserve
Situated in the lush Kwazulu Natal region in the north of South Africa is Phinda Private Game Reserve. This reserve is a winner of prestigious ecotourism awards and comprises 14 000 hectares of prime conservation land between the Mkuze Game Reserve and the World Heritage Site Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. Seven distinct habitats occur in the Phinda Private Game Reserve, home to a varied abundance of wildlife including Africa’s Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo) and over 380 bird species. Well known for its marine diversity, the nearby coast of Sodwana is said to rival the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
