Blaauwbosch Game Reserve5 STAR EASTERN CAPE LODGE ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK Blaauwbosch Private Game Reserve offers visitors to the Eastern Cape the ultimate in African safaris. This five-star reserve is home to a wide variety of some of the country's most beautiful and exciting fauna and flora. In addition, this is not a malaria-risk zone, which means that it is safe for all members of the family. While maintaining an authentic bushveld feel, these chalets are comfortable and luxurious, ensuring a real treat for weary travellers seeking a breath-taking getaway. Some of the local residents include Cheetahs, Giraffes, Zebras, Antelope and the Big Five (Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes and Leopards). In addition, there is an abundance of birdlife, and trained rangers will be more than happy to answer the questions of the guests on formal tours. More animals can also be seen at the nearby Addo Elephant Park. This reserve has been developed with the local community in mind, providing them with jobs and training that will benefit them on a long-term basis. While management staff are trained and experienced, they assist less experienced members to achieve their best and work towards establishing a meaningful career. |

Accommodation Blaauwbosch Private Game Reserve is all about exclusivity and luxury. For this reason, it has only seven suites, each accommodating a maximum of two adults. These are air-conditioned and have a full bathroom, personal robes, a dressing room and a private balcony, from where to marvel at the mountain views. Kaai's Camp defines modern bush living as it invites guests to immerse themselves in South Africa, while never negotiating on style and comfort. However, all the style and tasteful ambience does not make for a lacklustre experience. Rather, there is a definite sense of fun and relaxation that permeates the very air of Blaauwbosch, leaving guests feeling welcome and stress-free. Dining The resident chef is trained and committed to providing discerning diners with only the best of his repertoire. The menu is distinctly South African in nature; while international flavours round these dishes off perfectly. Excellent wines are available to accompany the range of exciting menu choices. Hearty breakfasts are served after the early morning game drives. Safaris The South African landscape is undoubtedly one of the most awe-inspiring. The smells, sights and sounds of the bush are delightful, intriguing and always a little mysterious. Guests are urged to discover these sensations for themselves, watching as animals drink from the watering holes under the blackening sky of nightfall. Experienced rangers conduct excursions in open Land Rover, ensuring maximum visibility and fascinating snippets of information. Apart from the amazing array of wildlife, there is also an impressive number of bird species. Nature enthusiasts are reminded to bring binoculars, cameras and bird books. Cheetahs have recently been introduced to the area and one of the latest adventures is the "Walk and Stalk" Safari. This involves tracking and following a wild Cheetah as it pursues its prey.
