Because of Beaumont House's ideal situation in the central suburb of Upper Claremont, this guesthouse enjoys convenient proximity to Cape Town's major attractions. Less than 15 minutes away is the city centre, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Table Mountain (and cable car), Cape Town International Convention Centre, the international airport, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Newlands (international rugby and cricket stadium), the Constantia wine route, a fully-equipped gym and the boutique shops at Cavendish Mall. For the golf enthusiast, more than 12 courses are accessible with a 30-minute drive's radius. The beautiful beaches of Clifton, Camps Bay, Llandudno and Hout Bay are a 20 minute drive from Beaumont House Hotel. Accommodation Each of the five suites is individually decorated, and continues the theme of chic elegance within a modern environment. All rooms enjoy modern amenities, such as air-conditioning, underfloor heating, satellite TV, DVD player, bar fridge, safe, bath with separate walk-in shower and free Wi-Fi Internet access. The two Pool Suites have their own private walkway leading directly from the parking area to the front door, to ensure ultimate privacy and convenience. Two suites are both located on the first floor of the main house, and one on the ground floor. Facilities The dining room overlooks the refreshing blue waters of the swimming pool, as well as the indulgent sundecks. Hearty breakfasts are served on distinguished bone china. The bar is situated adjacent to the dining room, and offers a cosy environment in which guests are invited to relax on soft sofas and take advantage of the generous library (including guide books and Cape Town reference volumes) or music collection. The bar is open for business from the late afternoon into the night, and the floodlit gardens are visible through the windows that stretch the full length of the walls. Guests are kindly requested to refrain from smoking inside their suites. Attractions Cape Town is a tourism Mecca, and this reputation has rightfully been earned. Golf 13 golf courses are situated within 30 minutes' drive from Beaumont House Hotel, and more lie in a further radius of the guesthouse. Because of the proximity to so many of the popular golf courses, staff at Beaumont House Hotel is equipped to advise on the different courses, and arrange tee-off times. We can also assist with the planning of golf tours along the Garden Route (from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth). For this, we take advantage of our relationship with other five-star guesthouses along the route. Avid golfers will experience a real treat in a day that begins with a round of golf, a sophisticated lunch, perfectly finished off with a comprehensive wine tasting. From the airport, take the N2, signposted for Cape Town. Follow the M3 signposted for Muizenberg (not the M5). After a set of traffic lights, where there is a turn right sign for Kirstenbosch Gardens, take the left branch for Claremont, just past a Shell garage. At a traffic circle, continue straight ahead into Newlands Road (M152). Take the right fork, signposted Muizenberg, into Herschel Walk. Take the second right into Torquay Avenue and immediately left into Primrose Avenue. Beaumont House Hotel is 50m down on the left hand side. |
